It is important to layer your clothing for different climates, as our tours may go through cool high mountain passes on one day and warm valley lowlands on the next. Rain in the mountains can occur unexpectedly, so you should bring a rain suit. Information on what to pack will be sent to you in your tour information packet.
We will pick you up and drop you off at the airport if you are a part of a Guided or Self-Guided tour and are arriving or departing on the first or last day of the tour.
In order to provide the best service for each of our guests, we have limited the size of our groups to ten vehicles. The average number of vehicles in the group is 6 – 8.
Medical support in Eastern Europe is considered as high-level. In case you should need any assistance, we will gladly help you find adequate support. You can get medication without any problems.
No, the pace is not difficult as we make sure to provide the right balance of leisure time and time spent on the road. If you wish, you can take some time off between the stop points and ride at your own pace. Your guide will provide you with the detailed plan for each day of the tour, so you can easily reach the meeting point in case you choose to separate from the group.
We usually ride anywhere from 200 to 350 kilometres per day (125 to 224 miles) in motorcycle tours, depending on the type -of the road. In Cycling tours it ranges from 30-70 kilometres per day (18 to 44 miles). In multi adventure tours we also make sure the pace is suitable for the group in order not to be underpaced nor overpaced.
All lunches and dinners are included in the cost of the guided tours, except on rest days. Our dinners are usually à la carte and you can order anything that’s on the menu. We pay special attention to organizing meals in local restaurants, so our guests could try local specialties.
All our tours are designed to include some sightseeing time. There are a lot of interesting sights on the routes we will be taking and we have selected the best o fit the needs of our tours. We will suggest to visit museums, cultural sights, historic parts, archaeological sites, and other activities that will make your travel experience more fulfilling and memorable.
Citizens of the EU, USA, Canada, Australia, UK, New Zealand, and Ireland do not need a visa to stay in any of the countries we tour for up to 90 days. If you are a resident of another country, please check with your embassy. Your credit card, required for the insurance deductible, driver’s license, international driver’s license, and passport may need to be presented on the first day of the tour and on subsequent days at border crossings.
In most places we will go you can use credit cards. However, there might be places that accept only cash, so we advise you to take some cash for daily expenses such as coffee, soft drinks, snacks or souvenirs. You will have access to ATMs and we will make sure you have a possibility to withdraw cash while on tour.
Normally, we do not book airline tickets as we find that many people prefer to use mileage programs or shop for competitive fares from various travel websites. For information on what airlines to consider, see our "How to get here" section under Information.
